Using the Vault Designer

Every time you create a new project with the Vault Designer, you will be presented with a new, default Vault that has these characteristics:

  • Interior dimensions: 88 inches long by 88 inches wide x 120 inches tall

  • Exterior dimensions: 104 inches long by 104 inches wide x 136 inches tall

  • Surface thickness: 8 inches for the top, the base, and the walls

  • A standard joint 1.25 inches tall between the top and bottom sections

  • A single opening centered in the top, 36" round

  • Single-mat rebar with these characteristics

    • Bar clearance: 2 inches

    • Bar end clearance: 1.5 inches

    • Hoop bar size: #6

    • Hoop bar spacing: 12 inches

    • Vertical bar slab clearance: 1.5 inches

    • Vertical bar type: U

    • Vertical bar size: #6

    • Vertical bar spacing: 12 inches

This is a starting point. In the following sections, you'll see how easy it is to modify this initial Vault, and turn it into something that is specifically configured for you and your customer.

Configuring a vault is a matter of navigating the Graphics Window, as well as using the options and settings presented in the Vault Designer menu. The menu is discussed in more detail on the following pages.
